Message to the Residents of Bourassa
Dear fellow citizens,
It is with great emotion and a deep sense of duty that I address you for the first time as the Member of Parliament for Bourassa. I sincerely thank you for your trust.
Bourassa is a proud and dynamic riding, rich in history, diversity, and resilience. It is our families, youth, seniors, and community organizations who weave the social fabric of our constituency every day.
Having immigrated to this country myself, I am acutely aware of the challenges many people face, particularly those related to integration, housing, and invisible inequalities.
My commitment is to all residents of Bourassa, regardless of their beliefs. I will be an accessible MP, attentive to your concerns, and fully committed to collaborating with all levels of government to address the issues that affect us.
I have joined a government determined to take action. As soon as the House of Commons resumed, we introduced Bill C-4, which includes tax cuts starting in 2025. This is a first step toward easing the cost of living right here at home.
I will continue working to secure more investment in social housing, greater support for community organizations, more tools to help our youth succeed, better access to mental health care, and to ensure our seniors can age with dignity, at home, with the care they deserve.
Bourassa is a welcoming place and a source of strength for the entire country. Together, let’s nurture the dreams and projects that take root here.
Representing Bourassa is an honour I embrace with pride and determination. I will remain attentive and present in the community, committed to working alongside you to build a fairer, safer, and more compassionate future for us all.
With all my commitment,
Neighbourhood Celebration
What a joy it was to take part in the 18th edition of Neighbours’ Day at Henri-Bourassa Park!
When hot dogs meet griot under smiling faces and sunshine, you know community life in Bourassa is truly thriving.
A big thank you to everyone who organized this event, which brings our community together year after year and celebrates the richness of our cultural diversity.
Two Homegrown Athletes in the NBA Finals
We are proud that Benedict Mathurin and Luguentz Dort faced each other in the NBA Finals this season.
Our riding made its mark on the international stage thanks to them.
Congratulations to Benedict and Luguentz for showing that the potential of our youth knows no bounds.
Thank you for making us proud and inspiring the next generation!
